In 2022, excavations have been carried out in the centre of the Celtic oppidum of Manching near Ingolstadt on the Danube. They have apparently revealed a residential area with dense buildings and a craft area with pits and tools. Some artefacts are said to be antique reused material (recycling).
A team from the Universities of Erlangen-Nuremberg and Ústí nad Labem examined a statue and fragments of two other statues from the Glauberg for toolmarks and gained interesting insights into the manufacturing processes. An article about this can be found here.
