Prof. Dr. Christoph Schäfer 

Prof. Schäfer has been a Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts in Salzburg (Europäische Akademie der Wissenschaften und Künste) since 2007, Chairman of the Varus-Gesellschaft in Osnabrück since 2010 and a Fellow of the Max-Weber-Kolleg für Kultur- und sozialwissenschaftliche Studien (Max Weber Institute for cultural and social studies) in Erfurt since 2012. For the DVD production "Römer und Germanen" - Konfrontation und Integration" (Romans and Germans - Confrontation and Integration) he has received the Comenius EduMedia Award 2006. Since October 2012 Prof. Schäfer has been a Member of the Acaemia Europaea.
