A variety of interdisciplinary events on further academic qualification given by various institutions of Trier University support doctoral candidates in the further development of their own qualifications and skills.

The following areas of further qualification are particularly relevant for prospective doctoral candidates:

Qualification opportunities for doctoral candidates in cooperation with partner institutions

Interdisciplinary Graduate Center (University of Koblenz)
Thanks to the GUT's cooperation within the framework of the Quality Circle for the Doctorate, doctoral candidates in Trier can also participate in continuing education events offered by the Interdisciplinary Graduate Center of the University of Koblenz.

 

GradUS - Graduate programme (Saarland University)
Thanks to the cooperation agreements entered into by GUT as part of the Quality Circle for the Doctorate, doctoral candidates in Trier are also able to participate in continuing education events offered by the Graduate programme GradUS of Saarland University.

 

University of the Greater Region (UniGR)
Within the framework of the University of the Greater Region (UniGR), doctoral students at Trier University can participate in further training courses at the participating partner universities.

 

University Evaluation Network Southwest
The University Evaluation Network Southwest is an association of universities whose members are committed to ensuring and further developing high quality in research, study and teaching. As part of their continuing education in university teaching, doctoral students can attend events organised by the network.

 

Virtual Campus Rhineland-Palatine
The Virtual Campus Rhineland-Palatine (VCRP) primarily fulfils a service, support and coordination function for all universities in Rhineland-Palatinate and acts primarily as a networker and innovator for the introduction of digital educational media and new teaching and learning technologies. As part of the E-Cademy, doctoral students can also participate in VCRP events.
