Bachelor Module A3.1 Seminar - Basics of Empirical Social Research

In this seminar led by Ms. Maukel, students will delve into the essentials of data analysis. Through hands-on activities, participants will work with their own small datasets, collaboratively collected during the seminar. They will conduct initial calculations such as determining mean values and standard deviations. Additionally, they will develop the skills to recognize and interpret correlations between two variables, such as the relationship between the population of storks in a region and the number of babies born. Furthermore, students will gain practical proficiency in utilizing the SPSS software, mastering the creation of visually engaging graphics to illustrate their findings.

 

Bachelor Module C3 - Advancement of Health and Nursing Care

In the module "Advancement of Health and Nursing Care" under the direction of Prof. Dr. Heike Spaderna, you have the opportunity to expand your competencies based on clinical conditions such as diabetes mellitus, cystic fibrosis, and obesity. You will learn to research, evaluate, and apply reliable research findings to highly complex nursing situations. This includes developing approaches to further enhance nursing care from childhood to old age and in various settings - while considering findings from health psychology research.

 

Bachelor Module C4 - Interprofessional Collaboration

In Module C4, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Heike Spaderna, interprofessional collaboration takes center stage. Participants delve into theoretical concepts and empirical findings, which are applied to the condition of stroke, questioned, and discussed in practical applications. Through interprofessional teaching sessions in collaboration with the Therapy Sciences department at Hochschule Trier and the Medical Campus Trier, university education is enriched.

 

Master Module D2 - Health Promotion II

In the "Health Promotion: Intervention and Research II" module, led by Prof. Dr. Heike Spaderna, participants will apply the Intervention Mapping approach to develop a tailored health promotion program for a specific target group and issue. Additionally, the second seminar will offer opportunities to expand and deepen understanding of behavior change approaches.
