New digital training: TwentyOne Skills Online Workshops

Through the cooperation with the digital learning portal TwentyOne Skills, the GUT program is enriched by a new format, especially for scientists in early career phases, which is easily accessible and flexible to use. Users can choose between synchronous and asynchronous learning modes and/or combine them.

The eLearning courses are offered in two formats:

  • Courses with a learning duration of 1-2 hours are referred to as “Deep Dive”. Here, a subject area is presented in detail.
  • “Nuggets”, on the other hand, focus on the specific teaching of a technique or method. If you choose a nugget, you do not have to allow more than approx. 20 minutes to learn.

The platform includes an extensive range of online courses in German and English specifically for target groups in science and research. It currently has over 50 courses and is constantly being expanded and updated. The range includes “bestsellers” such as presentation skills, science communication, time management and leadership. However, new subject areas that have recently become increasingly popular, such as agility, AI in academia and mental health, can now also be studied online.

Registration

At the beginning of each quarter (January, April, July, October), a cohort of 10 participants is admitted to the TwentyOne Skills eLearning platform by GUT. Licenses for the platform are issued on a First come first serve basis. Access to the platform is valid for 3 months.

Register by sending an e-mail to gutuni-trierde (Subject „21skills – AllAccess“) and receive one of the first 10 full accesses to the new learning platform.

In addition to the limited number of full accesses, there is also the option of obtaining basic access. This enables participation in all live courses on the platform as well as access to selected e-learning courses, such as “Mental Health and Cognition: Stress Intervention (Nugget)” or “Career Design: Career Paths for Academics (Deep Dive)”.
