Interdisciplinary Networking
The interdisciplinary networking of doctoral students, postdocs and junior professors is a declared goal of the Graduate Center. To this end, it supports the DocColloq team of doctoral candidates, which organizes an annual interdisciplinary graduate conference as well as monthly interdisciplinary colloquia.
The PhD student representation also organizes networking meetings, writing weeks and other offers aimed at all doctoral students.
Doctoral student pub crawls
The second pub crawl for doctoral students took place on Wednesday, October 23 2024. Following on from the successful debut last semester, the tour was continued.
Visiting various pubs and restaurants, we chatted about the doctorate, university life and everything else in a relaxed atmosphere. All faculties of Trier University were represented, which allowed people to get to know each other across departments. As in the previous semester, we are delighted with the great interest and active participation of the doctoral students. Due to the great response to the previous pub crawls, we will continue to organize them! Until then, more get-togethers for doctoral students are planned, so stay tuned!
