CIUT hosted public lecture series at the University of Trier in winter semester 2021/21

The digital dynamics in the Chinese cultural area are impressive, disturbing and inspiring at the same time: innovative Chinese companies are setting new standards in the field of artificial intelligence or quantum computing, the government in Beijing is using digital technologies for an increasingly comprehensive surveillance of society and on Taiwan the digital ministries are reinventing democracy with participatory methods.

The effects of these complex transformation processes are also increasingly felt in Germany and Europe and raise weighty questions

From the end of October 2021 to the end of February 2021, 9 speakers from academia, politics and business explored these questions, provide some answers - and more questions to ponder.
