How will we live in the next 10, 20, 30 years? What changes will innovation technologies bring to our living environment and how will the rapidly advancing digitalisation influence society?
Compared to Europe, China is an innovation incubator: there are many innovative talents, supported by state agencies, the innovation-technology start-up scene is booming and risk-taking venture capital is abundant. The political system rival favours this development with a rapid implementation and dissemination of new technologies in an experimental society.
Chinnotopia - Future designed by China is a new online format for the exchange of information on technology developments in China and their impact on society(ies). In the workshop discussions, we look at future scenarios of a transformation of society in China and Europe.
The online feature series also offers an innovative teaching format; the monthly workshop talks are embedded in a course of the same name. chinnotopia is aimed at students as well as a broad audience of experts and interested members of the public.
