Research
Our research group investigates together with our collaboration partners how learners acquire conceptual understanding and flexible problem solving skills, for example, in Kindergarten, K-12 schools, or higher education. We are interested in how learner resources and learning environments interact in stimulating the construction and storage of new knowledge in memory that underlies the broad and sustained competencies required for success in everyday life and the workplace. The following figure shows the framework guiding our research. Below, we list our publications about the components of the framework.
