Viviana Wiegleb, M.Sc.
Viviana is a human geographer and doctoral researcher in the Governance and Sustainability Lab. As part of her research, she focuses on the politics of knowledge in environmental governance. She is particularly interested in the roles that different scientific experts play in environmental discourses and at the science-policy interface. By studying governance concepts like the Water-Energy-Food Nexus or environmental boundary organizations, Viviana examines how science dynamics unfold during policy-relevant knowledge production.
From 2020 to 2023, she worked as a project assistant for the BMUV project "Mosel-AdapTiV".
Viviana holds a Master’s degree in Physical Geography of Human-Environment-Systems (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin). She also obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Geoscience (Bristol University, UK). In addition to her research activities, Viviana gained professional experience as part of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ in China) and the Environmental Association Green Leage e.V.
