DocColloq – Interdisciplinary colloquium by doctoral students for doctoral students
What is the DocColloq colloquium?
The DocColloq colloquium is an initiative by doctoral candidates for doctoral candidates at Trier University, supported by the Graduate Center (GUT).
After a somewhat longer break, the colloquium will take place regularly again from January 2024, organized by the new contact person Leonie Mader and Lea Muller.
The aim of the colloquium is to give doctoral students the opportunity to present excerpts from their research. In contrast to specialist conferences, the audience is interdisciplinary and is still at the beginning of their academic career, so the event offers you a protected space to present research projects and gain initial presentation and conference experience. You can use DocColloq to present your dissertation project, present new papers or outlines of essays, try out presentations for conferences or practice your disputation. It doesn't matter what stage of your doctorate you are in or what subject you are doing your doctorate in - DocColloq is open to all doctoral candidates at the university.
When does the DocColloq colloquium take place?
We would like to organize the format of the event according to your needs. Initially, two lectures of 20 minutes each are planned for each date. During the lecture period, the colloquium will take place once a month on Wednesdays from 17:00 - 18:30 in presence and once via Zoom during the lecture-free period.
Appointments are possible on Wednesdays from 17:00 - 18:30
Please take part in our survey to let us know your scheduling preferences or content requests for DocColloq!
