Since 2021 I have been working as a research associate in the project “PARTNER – Strong partnerships in Early Childhood Education and Care”. I’m interested in the relationship between public and private in the field of early childhood education and care. More precisely, I concentrate on collaboration practices between families and ECEC organizations and the specific positions of parents and children as actors in these practices.

During my time as a student of pedagogy at University of Trier, I worked in the research project PARTNER and developed my focus in the field of childhood studies. In my master thesis, I analysed the specific positions of children as actors in collaboration practices between families and ECEC organizations. Furthermore, I developed a methodological way how focus groups can be conducted with young children.

Areas of research:

Childhood studies, pre-school education, early childhood education and care

qualitative social research, focus groups, ethnography
