Professor Swoboda established our Chair in the year 2002 and has published 60 books (and the book series “Retailing and International Marketing”), over 350 peer-reviewed journal and conference proceeding articles and in total more than 700 publications. Furthermore, he has contributed to numerous speaking engagements in practice and practical projects. Additionally, Professor Swoboda is responsible for the ERASMUS exchange program, as well as the Foreign Language Programof the Faculty of Business Administration, Economics and Social Sciences at Trier University. After several rejected calls to other chairs and universities (e.g., to his home university in 2017) he decided to join Trier University out of conviction.
