Katharina Schuch

Katharina Schuch joined the department in February 2025. She obtained her M.Ed. in English, Philosophy and Educational Studies from Trier University in 2024. She first worked in the project on English Root Stress (ersaf.uni-trier.de) and is currently working in the project “Advancing Analogical Theory in Morphology” (advanthemorph.uni-trier.de). In the context of this project, she is working on her PhD thesis. The thesis is supervised by Prof. Dr. Sabine Arndt-Lappe. 

Research Interests:

  • Analogical Theory

  • The mental lexicon 

  • Individual differences in language acquisition, production and perception 

  • Morphophonology 

Master’s Thesis:

L2 Sound Perception Abilities and Music Perception Abilities. Is there a Correlation between Musical Perception Abilities and the Perceptual Discrimination between /ɛ/ and /æ/ by German Learners of English?
