The Professorship for Human-Computer Interaction (established as a Junior Professorship for Practical Computer Science) at the University of Trier is part of Department IV – Computer Science and is assigned to Computer Science. With a scientific focus on the use of interactive systems in everyday work contexts, the Human-Computer Interaction Group works on the scientific investigation and development of technical, computer-based solutions, particularly using virtual and augmented reality technologies. Humans, as users of these systems, are at the forefront of the scientific and interdisciplinary discussion of this topic. Furthermore, the group uses formal modeling methods to develop interactive systems, enabling not only the description but also the formal validation of these systems. The group's current research areas (see Figure C.1) can be divided into two main areas: Work and Research & Teaching, each of which is further subdivided into two subareas.
