
Evelyn Bernhardt is a doctoral researcher at the Department of Computer Science IV at the University of Trier and a research associate in the VORAN research program (Tandem 4) at Mainz University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Business. She is pursuing a cooperative PhD under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Benjamin Weyers (University of Trier) and Prof. Dr. Anett Mehler-Bicher (Mainz University of Applied Sciences).
After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (2016–2019) at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, she obtained a part-time Master’s degree in IT Management (2020–2021) at Mainz University of Applied Sciences. Alongside her studies, she worked as an SAP Consultant at Fraport AG, where she developped a sustainability tool for recording and optimizing ESG metrics. In 2024, she joined BioNTech SE as an SAP Product Owner responsible for finance and ESG products. In this role, she focused on digital solutions to support sustainable business processes and to further develop sustainability-oriented SAP systems.
Her research interests focus on the intersection of immersive technologies and data-driven information systems, with the aim of supporting organizations in their sustainable transformation.
