Prof. Dr. Antje Bruns
Trained as geographer (PhD Kiel), Antje's work examines socio-political geographies of (urban) resource governance. She is increasingly interested in sustainable (urban) futures and how they are shaped by powerful imaginaries and the agency around socio-material configurations that mediate resource flows. Her theoretical interests span (urban) political ecology, urban studies and debates over development and sustainability.
Antje is holding a full professorship for Geography at Trier University where she is head of the Governance & Sustainability Lab. Before she was assistant professor at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. She is member of ARL - Academy for Territorial Development in the Leibniz Association.
