We are seeking for a research associate (m/f/d, E 13 TV-L, 100%, fixed-term for 3 years) with a research focus on biological psychology/neuroscience.
The position offers the opportunity to conduct independent psychobiological research on the neurobiological foundations of social behavior, psychosocial stress, and social interaction using methods such as psychophysiology, eye tracking, EEG, fNIRS, and MRI. Responsibilities include participating in research projects, teaching, securing external funding, and supervising student theses.

We welcome applications from candidates with an outstanding degree in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field, solid statistical knowledge, and a high level of motivation and teamwork skills.

Student Assistant with IT Skills Wanted! (6–8 hours/week)

We are looking for a student assistant (Hiwi) with a background in computer science/IT to start as soon as possible. 
The main responsibility will be supporting research-related IT activities within our department.

Responsibilities

• Administration and maintenance of our department server
• Organizational and technical support for everyday IT issues and problems (e.g., software installation)
• Technical support for experimental setups
• Assistance with programming experiments (e.g., Python, E-Prime)

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with common operating systems (Microsoft Windows, Linux)
• Previous experience with an object-oriented programming language (e.g., C++, Python)
• German language skills (written and spoken)
• Reliability, teamwork skills, and good communication skills
• Interest in scientific research and willingness to learn about new topics

Employment Conditions

• 6–8 hours per week, depending on availability and departmental needs
