The Erasmus program allows students from all over Europe to complete part of their degree program at a host university in another European country. Currently, the university’s Department of Psychology has over 20 partner universities in 14 countries.
Studying abroad - whether organised through ERASMUS ⁺ or another exchange program - is recommended for Bachelor's students from the 4th semester onwards, because they usually only have one more year of courses to complete. This allows them to mostly finish their degree at their host university. The third and fourth semesters are a good time to study abroad during the Master’s program.
Bachelor's and Master's students can also prepare or write their final thesis (Bachelor's or Master's thesis) at the foreign host university. However, this requires a concrete and detailed agreement with a local supervisor here in Trier.
