Angela Grewelding
I am a Research Associate and will soon be admitted to the PhD program in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). Before joining the English Department in May 2025, I completed my Master’s degree (M.Ed.) in English, French, and Education at the University of Trier. For almost four years, I worked as a secondary school teacher at a Gymnasium in Trier, where I gained valuable teaching experience.
My research interests focus on enhancing reading comprehension and overall reading competence in English as a foreign language. I am also interested in multilingualism, especially in how cross-linguistic influences can facilitate English language learning. Further research interests include the role of AI in learning English and language learning aptitude.
