Angela Grewelding

I am a Research Associate and PhD Candidate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) at the University of Trier. Before joining the English Department in May 2025, I completed my Master’s degree (M.Ed.) in English, French, and Education at the University of Trier. For almost four years, I worked as a secondary school teacher at a Gymnasium in Trier. 

My PhD thesis investigates the potential of generative AI-based text-to-image tools for fostering L2 reading ability in the classroom, examining their effects across different levels of text comprehension as well as learners’ short- and long-term retention.
