Module 15: Mouth and oral


In English, noun and adjective of the same semantic field are often dissociated, i.e. they do not correspond in form, although they correspond in meaning, e.g. mouth > oral (as opposed to German Mund > mündlich). Sometimes things are complicated by the fact that various adjectives coexist, but we will first be concerned with the pattern mouth > oral. Try completing the table below:
