On September 08, 2023, Dr. Josie-Marie Perkuhn presented her research on "How much does Taiwan's Maritime Materiality Matter in innovative Energy Transition?" at EISA-PEC 23.
On 31 August 2023, Dr Josie-Marie Perkuhn presented her assessment of the security situation in the South China Sea at the kick-off event of the POLIS180 online lecture series "Ocean Talks: Perspectives on the South China Sea".
On 07/22/2022, Dr. Josie-Marie Perkuhn gave a technical input on her research findings on "Innovative Taiwan: the case of digital democracy" at the China Workshop of the Iserlohn Circle.
From 17-19.07.23 the Taiwan Week took place at the University of Trier. Three exciting lectures about Taiwan were presented.
On 19 June 2023, Dr Josie-Marie Perkuhn gave a guest lecture on the conflict scenario Taiwan in the excursion seminar "'Zeitenwende' in der Sicherheitspolitik" as an introduction to the "Wargame: on the conquest of Taiwan by the People's Republic of China".
On 15 June, 23 Dr. Jiun-Chi Lin presented a part of his research about populist communication on social networking sites in Taiwan in an online lecture.
As part of the lecture series, Dr Josie-Marie Perkuhn gave a lecture on 14 June 2023 in Darmstadt at the Catholic Education Centre on Taiwan and China on the topic "Taiwan-China. A Conflict of Global Reach" (in German).
On 12 June 2023, Tong Yali gave a lecture on her current research topic on Theodor Stöpels Travelogue.
On 2nd June 2023 the renowned Taiwanese poet Xiang Yang (向陽) gave an online lecture about the development of Taiwanese literature and his own poetry.
On February 17th, 2023 the TAP team from the RUB Bochum came to Trier University for celebration TAP Birthday, as well as book donation and discussion for the projects in 2023.
Taiwan as a pioneer - local innovation in the dynamics of global mega trends has been 1 year! The celebration was on February 1 th, 2023
Dr Fliß attended the lecture/reading by Dr Thilo Diefenbach on his translation anthology of literary works from Taiwan, "Zwischen Himmel und Meer" in Bochum on 26 January 2023.

From December 9th - December 11th, 2022 Dr. Perkuhn and Dr. Fliß presented on the 33. Jahrestagung der Deutschen Vereinigung für Chinastudien (DVCS) (German) at the China centre of the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel their recent research results.
Dr. Perkuhn was invited by Reinhard Bütikofer, MdEP, to participate in a discussion about „Taiwan’s digital democracy and its approach to disinformation“ where she conversed about her research relating Taiwan's digitalisation and participation. This was part of the two day long event „Taiwan: Opportunities and Challenges in Times of Geopolitical Change“ on December 5th, 2022. Click here to watch the recording of the event.
TAP’s project leader Dr. Josie-Marie Perkuhn was invited to give a lecture at Tamkang University. The hybrid lecture on “Application of Innovative Technology in the response to COVID-19 in Taiwan and China: Reflecting the Governments for Personnel Training” was hosted by Professor Li-Wei Chan 詹立煒 from the Department of Public Administration and it was introduced by Dr. Lee, President of the Chinese Society for Training and Development (CSTD).
On 30 November 2022, Dr Fliß visited the National Museum of Taiwan Literature (國立臺灣文學博物館) and discussed possible projects with the museum director Prof. Nikki Lin (Lin Jinli 林巾力) and her colleagues.
On November 25th, 2022 Dr.Perkuhn and Dr.Fliß took part in the workshop "Status of Taiwan Studies in Europe ─ Dialogs between German and Taiwanese Scholars".
On 22 November 2022, Dr Fliß gave a lecture on the topic of "Differences and similarities between Taiwanese and German proverbs" at the National Taiwan Normal University (國立台灣師範大學). Dr Fliß met with Prof. Li Bi-chhin 呂美親 from the Institute for Taiwanese Culture, Languages and Literature at the National Taiwan Normal University for an academic exchange.
On 16 November 2022 Dr. Thomas Fliß held a lecture at the National Chengchi University (國立政治大學) on Taiwanese and German proverbs.
In November 2022, Dr Fliß met again with the poet Wu Sheng for a literary exchange.
Dr Fliß attended the annual meeting of the Association for Taiwan Literature (台灣文學學會) from 15 - 16 October 2022.
In October Dr. Perkuhn visited her TAP colleagues for a network meeting in Tuebingen.
Dr. Perkuhn and Dr. Fliß presented parts of their research at the international conference INTERFACEing 2022 “Telling Innovations and Tradition East and West” on September 30th - October 2nd, 2022.
On 21 September 2022 Chen Yi-Chun, an artist of the group "Hand extension, inheritance of the palm - Mechanical Puppet Project" from Taiwan, came to Trier University and presented her work.
The TAP team met on 08 September 2022 to discuss "Archiving and Sharing Qualitative Research Data with Qualiservice".
Under the title "Shaping Democracy!" the summer academy for the promotion of gifted students met this year, August 28 - September 4, 2022.
