On 19 June 2023, Dr Josie-Marie Perkuhn gave a guest lecture on the conflict scenario Taiwan in the excursion seminar "'Zeitenwende' in der Sicherheitspolitik" as an introduction to the "Wargame: zur Eroberung Taiwans durch die Volksrepublik China" (Wargame: on the conquest of Taiwan by the People's Republic of China) on board the Pegnitz, a hollow-stable boat (M 1090). The seminar was offered by the ISPK under the direction of Dr. Stefan Hansen and supervised by the two game leaders Henrik Schilling and Andrä-Hampf. During the excursion in the Kiel Fjord, the course participants were able to gain practical experience in the use of mine countermeasures vehicles, the rescue of persons who had gone overboard on the dummy "Whiskey", as well as learn background information on security policy work in discussions with the sailor. The central concern of the interdisciplinary is to deal with strategic decision-making by example in a practically oriented teaching experience and to acquire a feeling for the complexity of the mixed situation of historical developments, real geological and geographical conditions as well as political backgrounds through the experienced impressions.
