Recognition of credits and semester placement

Faculty II has a central examination board (“Prüfungsausschuss BA/MA/BSc/MSc”) that is responsible for all degree programmes within the faculty, including the „Zusatzzertifikat DaZ/DaF (PO 01.08.2018)”.

If you earned credits abroad, at another university in Germany, in another degree programme, or wish to change your examination regulations, you can apply for recognition of these credits to count towards your current degree programme at Faculty II. The examination board decides which credits are to be recognized and in which semester you will be placed.

The examination board is managed by the Dean's Office of Faculty II. Applications must therefore be submitted there.

The accreditation advisor in the relevant degree programme or subject will make a recommendation for the recognition of credits. The final decision lies with the examination board.

Please note that you can apply for the transfer of previously earned credits only after enrolment.
