For years, Faculty VI has been characterized by a particularly high level of internationality. With two international Master's programs MSc Environmental Sciences and MSc Geoinformatics as well as a large number of partner universities around the world, students and staff are offered the opportunity to network and conduct research internationally. The faculty's Erasmus program allows students to spend one to two semesters abroad, as part of their studies. The TaLES-project in Vietnam - Improvement of Teaching concepts and Learning processes in a cooperative master program in Environmental Sciences - offers students and academic staff at Trier University and Nong Lam University in Ho Chi Minh City, an interdisciplinary and intercultural exchange in research and teaching.
