Environmental stress factors on algae living in the Baltic

The project studies environmental stress factors like low temperature, high irradiances and different salinities on algae living in the Baltic. What physiological mechanisms are involved in the adaptation processes? Also aquatic systems in forest are studied in relation to pollutions and wood ash application.
