Text analysis should support extraction of keywords, whose meaning should be specified by means of metadata. Metadata should be incrementally defined in the context of a vocabulary structured according to the emerging paradigm of the web ontologies.
Facilities for building and managing such a vocabulary should be provided, also in terms of use of interface to ad hoc services provided by external tools.
Text indexing, based on the keywords extracted from the text, should generate different indexing patterns able to express the keywords relevance at different entry points of the document.
Contents searching should be driven by the keywords indexing patterns and by the ontology of related metadata.
So contents browsing should act both on the various sections of a same document but also in all the documents whose index patterns include keywords having meaning semantic relationships.
Technical Specifications / Specific technical requirements:
The technology should offer programmable interfaces: Java API interfaces are preferred. The technology must be portable on Win32 and Linux platforms.
