The managing of environmental factors, of auxiliary fauna, as well as of micro-organisms will permit to establish control strategies alternative to chemicals, through the use of biological insecticides. Society demands more and more consumption of clean and residue-free products; therefore, ecological agriculture has nowadays an increasingly great importance.
The company is studying the use of biological insecticides and is concretely interested in the control of pit-fruit tree exploitations plagues in development, as a valid alternative to chemical control. In this moment cultivation protection is based almost exclusively on chemical control through the application of non-selective phytosanitary products. Some assays using nematode species for the control of some parasites that affect potatoes, beets, and tomatoes have been initiated with hopeful results.
Systems for the biological control of coleopterans that affect pit-fruit trees cultures through the use of biological methods are requested.
