An Austrian SME’s main tasks are integrating, planning and implementation of audio, video, broadcast and Web-based system solutions. Their development is focused on innovative tools, plug-ins and software modules for live application, Web-casting and searchable video and knowledge archives on demand.

 

With the existing audio-visual extraction algorithms, including speech to text, speaker id, face id (single faces), key frames and shots the recognition probability of objects is at present at an average of about 70%. Specifically present “optical character recognition” (OCR) algorithms have to be improved. The existing recognition probability is less than 50% (Common plug-in only supports English characters; no European version is available). They are looking for algorithms like multiple faces, objects, commercials or logos that can operate in real time with a high level of accuracy. Recognition probability should be enhanced by more than 50%.
