Short project description:

My interest is focusing on characteristics of elderly pain perception, pain evaluation in comunicant and non comunicant old pacients with pain and the depresed pacients. All the data obtained for old pacients without actual pains and for diabetic pacients with arteriopathic and neuropathic pains will be useful for the assessment of pain and in therapeutical schemas.

The University of Medicine from Iasi, Romania is the oldest medical institute of Romania. It is structered in Medicine Faculty, Stomatological Medicine Faculty, Pharmacy Faculty and Bioengeneering. There are many departements of preclinic disciplines and for clinic ones. The departement of physiology has as research projects pain and endotelium involvement in vascular pathology. For pain, we have a small lab for the experimental study in animals (tail flick test, paw withdrawal test, intratheca)
