A Spanish company seeks software to simulate the climatic conditions inside a greenhouse. The company wants to know the influence of the following elements:

- Zenithal ventilation

- Side ventilation

- Thermal screens

- Heating

- Cooling system

- Air flow

- Humidification

and other elements that can take part in determining the temperature inside of a greenhouse.

 

Traditionally the engineering department of the company has carried out the design. The clients let the company knows theirs needs and the engineering department ends up the project and design the installations. Currently this department makes the study and design on all about products but basing on the experience they have in similar facilities.

 

When the greenhouse has been designed and installed, the company offers its clients a system to control all these elements in order to maintain appropriate conditions inside the greenhouse. It is quite common to have all these accessories, controlled by computer, optimise the management of the climate inside the greenhouse. But for doing that, a previous good calculation of all the elements that take part in the greenhouse climate is necessary.

 

To do that, the company would like to have an automated and tested system (software). The designs have to be done by agreeing with the climatic conditions asked, the volume and the area of the greenhouse, and giving suitable solution.

 

Location of the greenhouse, as well as latitude, longitude and resistance to the ultraviolet radiation has to be taken into account.

 

The Spanish company wants to improve its competitiveness within the field of greenhouse manufacturing by designing good greenhouses with exactly all the ventilation elements.
