Die Professur für Wirtschafts- und Sozialstatistik der Universität Trier wird vom 22. auf den 23. Juni 2009 die Rhine River Cruise ausrichten, dies ist ein Kolloquium zu "Recent Advances in Small Area Statistics". Diese Thematik ist gerade für den registergestützten Zensus sowie der Armutsberichterstattung in Europa von besonderer Bedeutung. Weltweit führende Wissenschaftler werden als Redner an dem Kolloquium teilnehmen.
