Workshop Sessions: Career Entry for Internationals

Workshop I: Intercultural Competence and Set Up your Competence Profile
Every job requires specific skills. These are presented in so-called competence profiles that describe which skills employees of a company should have. In the first session, participants will learn about typical competence profiles and how they are used in HR.
Moreover, recognising and describing individual strengths is an important step towards a successful career entry. The participants will reflect on their professional and non-professional experiences with the help of practical methods to set up their own competence profiles. Additionally, they will learn which skills need further developing and how to do so effectively.

Workshop II: Use your Competence Profile in your Application
In the second part of the workshop, the participants will improve the presentation of their competence profiles. They will learn how to use them in the application process and how to communicate the profile successfully. Furthermore, the participants will discuss effective application strategies, which will increase the chances of being invited to an assessment centre or interview.

Workshop III: Application Strategies and Job Interviews
After our two F2F sessions, the trainer offers each of you a personal coaching and practical exercises on how to deal with your challenges in your next step in life. This can be done online. We will find individual appointments in our last session. We will only offer the personal coaching session to students who have participated in both F2F sessions.

Up to 15 participants can attend the workshop, which will be held in English. It is an online event. As the sessions are very practice-oriented, they rely on a committed participation.
