Learning spaces and meeting areas

Many students use time in-between classes to meet up with fellow students or to learn and prepare for upcoming lessons. The campus offers a number of places and areas that are ideal for these purposes.

 

BibTop

BibTop

BibTop is a relaxed learning space within the library. It is equipped with several different workplaces where you can work in groups or alone. You can find BibTop on the second floor of the central library. Sockets and wi-fi are being provided, vending machines offer a small selection of drinks and snacks.

“Subchill“

The lower ground floor of Studiwerk’s Mensa was remodeled as a lounge and working space in 2020. You can access “Subchill” from the park, via an exterior door at the back of the Mensa building. The lounge is equipped with sockets and wi-fi. During opening hours of the Mensa snacks can be purchased from vending machines.

Learning Garden

Learning Garden

The “Learning Garden” outdoor seating areas are perfectly integrated in the landscape on campus. They can be found in several locations, usually in close proximity to university buildings.

Cafe Kunterbunt

Café Kunterbunt

Café Kunterbunt is a café for students run by the AStA. It is located inside the Studihaus and there is lots of space to work or study with access to the university’s wi-fi. Meet your friends or just enjoy a hot or cold beverage.

Begegnungsräume St. Augustinus

Meeting points in St. Augustinus church

The lower ground floor of St. Augustinus church provides recently remodeled spaces for groups. The rooms offer a kitchen, a pool billiard table and a TV. Here you can easily spend time with friends or work on your own. The rooms are free to use after sending a request to the parish's central office: pfarrbueroedithstein-trierde

fetzencafé

fetzencafé

fetzencafé is a meeting point founded by the Catholic Student community Trier. Volunteers have been pouring coffee for guests of the café since 1983. There is a wide range of drinks, cakes, and tea as well as magazines and newspapers available to read. You may enjoy your drink on the terrace or challenge your friends to a game of tabletop football.
