Doctoral students have the option to enroll. This applies to doctoral students as well as doctoral visiting scholars. Further information can be found here.

TUNIKA (student ID)

Once you submitted all necessary documents to the student registration office, you will receive your student ID in form of a chip card - the TUNIKA by mail.

Your student ID allows you to manage your studies at the service points (TUKAN), to use it for charge card payments in the dining facility and in the cafeterias, to borrow books in the library and to make copies. The tuition fee includes the so-called Deutschlandsemesterticket which is a nationwide valid ticket for public transportation (2^nd class), i.e. there will be no additional costs for using city busses, trains (some exceptions apply), underground trains or trams.
