"Excellent teaching" - Teaching Award of the University of Trier for the Chair of Management!

We are very grateful for the teaching award of the University of Trier in the category "Excellent teaching" - didactic conception and implementation and would like to thank all those involved in the nomination and selection!

The award was given to the course "Human Resource Management", which was designed and implemented by Prof. Dr. Thorsten Semrau and Katharina Thiel. The course is offered as a compulsory course in the Bachelor of Business Administration and is regularly attended by approx. 120-150 students. The course concept was adapted to the pandemic according to the principles of the "Flipped Classroom". In order to acquire the basic knowledge, the students received screencasts on the topics of the course. This was accompanied by application-oriented exercises, which the students initially prepared individually while studying the screencasts. The students were then able to discuss their solution ideas in small groups during Zoom exercise sessions, which were supervised by Katharina Thiel. Open questions about the screencasts and exercises were clarified in another Zoom session led by Thorsten Semrau the following day.

Congratulations also to Prof. Dr. Mohamad El-Ghazi and Lena Haase and the Scientists4Future initiative, who won the Trier University Teaching Awards in the categories "Bridges Built" - Communication and Collaboration and "Boundaries Crossed" - Visibility and Outreach, respectively.
