International Nurses Day is celebrated worldwide on May 12. It was initiated by the International Council of Nurses (ICN), which has been founded in 1899 and is an umbrella organization of around 130 national nursing organizations with over 20 million members.  Germany is represented in the ICN by the German Professional Association for Nursing Professions (DBfK). In Berlin, the DBfK is organizing a rally (May 12, 3 p.m.) for Nursing Day 2022. Live acts and a panel discussion are also planned in Nuremberg under the motto "We are irreplaceable - now and in the future."

This year, the motto of the Day of Nursing is "Nurses a voice to lead", loosely translated as "Nurses have a voice to lead". With our academic degree progam nursing sciences we make our contribution to let the voice of nursing become strong with self-confident competence.
