Enrolment only with electronic status message of the German public health insurance
Every applicant has to contact a German public health insurance prior to enrolment (changed procedure since Nov. 1st 2021).
After the international applicant receives admission they need to contact a German public health insurance. In most cases the applicant will need to sign up for a student contract and the German insurance will issue a preliminary certificate. The applicant can upload this preliminary certificate during the online enrolment. Reference ID for Trier University: H0000570
Later, the public health insurance, via data interchange, updates the health insurance status (M10) of the respective student/applicant in the administration software of Trier University.
Letters/confirmations in hard copy from the international insurance cannot be accepted!
