Re-registration

Semester fees (Re-registration) | General information

Each semester, students must re-register (Rückmeldung) in order to be able to continue their studies and do so by paying the required semester fee (Semesterbeitrag).

The semester fee amount is available online shortly before the respective registration payment period opens.

Students who do not pay the semester fee (re-registration) by the deadline will no longer be enrolled at Trier University (will be exmatriculated).

We suggest that you pay your semester fees as early as possible to avoid any problems or delays.

If you have further questions or encounter difficulty with the process, please contact the Admissions Office.

Re-registration | Deadlines

Winter semester: 15 June to 15 September

Summer semester: 15 January to 15 March

Semester fees (Re-registration) | How to pay?

The fastest and easiest way to pay the semester fee is to use one of the TUKAN machines. Paying the semester fee (Rückmeldung) at the TUKAN enables you to validate your student ID card (Tunika) immediately in the validation machine beside most TUKAN machines.

Please note:

  • Do not load the amount on the TUNIKA! It must be paid by EC card or PIN enabled credit card.
  • If you choose to pay the semester fee via bank transfer, please ensure to enter all data carefully and completely so that the receipt of payment can also be assigned to the appropriate account.
Note: It can take up to 10 days for the funds to be transferred and the receipt of payment. Please ensure you make the transfer with sufficient time prior to the deadline.
The validation of your TUNIKA is only possible once the transfer is complete.
